Boston Pizza RDP Athlete of the Week for March 10, 2025

This past weekend, Kaedence Mollin demonstrated strong leadership and play in the opening three games of the best-of-five Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women’s Hockey Championship Final against the Lakeland College Rustlers. Mollin, a third-year defender, recorded two points, including a game winning goal, and helped the RDP Queens win one of the first three road games of the gold medal series.

In Friday’s game, Kelowna’s Mollin, the Queens captain, scored her team’s lone goal in a 1-0 shutout victory over the Rustlers. She was also extremely effective in the defensive zone.

On Saturday, the Rustlers evened the series with a 5-1 decision over the Queens. Mollin, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student, picked up an assist on teammate Emily Hourie’s goal. Lakeland College jumped ahead two games to one with a 4-1 win over the Polytechnic on Sunday.

The RDP Queens will look to even the series against the Lakeland College Rustlers in game four at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre on Friday, March 14 at 7 pm.

Mollin is having a tremendous season both on and off the ice. Recently, she was acknowledged as ACAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Year, ACAC Women’s Hockey Top Scholastic Achiever, a member of the ACAC Women's Hockey First All-Conference team and an ACAC Women’s Hockey Academic All-Canadian.

Boston Pizza RDP Athelte of the Week for November 12, 2024

Kaedence Mollin was a key contributor to the RDP Queens Hockey team’s two wins this past weekend. While taking care of the defensive zone, Mollin recorded a total of four points against the Olds College Broncos and Medicine Hat College Rattlers.

In Friday’s 2-1 victory in Olds, the talented defender assisted on teammate Mia McGregor’s opening goal and helped set up Hayley Kolosky’s overtime winner.

Kelowna’s Mollin had another strong performance in the Polytechnic’s 7-2 decision against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers on Saturday. Mollin, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student, scored the Queens’ third goal which turned out to be the game winning goal. She also assisted on the Queens’ fourth goal scored by Julie Wagner.

In nine games, Mollin leads the Queens’ defenders with nine points.
