The Granary Kitchen RDP Athlete of the Week for November 22, 2021

Goaltender Tanya Disotell-Dunsmore made an impact in her first regular season start for the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Hockey team. The athletic goalie from Cornwall made 25 saves in a 3-0 shutout win over the Olds College Broncos. The Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional – Optometry student played well positionally and set the tone early, making 11 saves in the first period alone. Disotell-Dunsmore effectively battled to find and cover loose pucks. The Broncos also had four power play opportunities, but they couldn’t solve the rookie goalkeeper. For her outstanding performance, Disotell-Dunsmore was named the North Star Sports Queens Player of the Game.
