RDC Athlete of the Week for Sept. 23, 2019
Abbi was a key contributor in the RDC Queens Soccer team’s 3-0 shutout victory against the Ambrose University Lions on Saturday. The gifted midfielder’s positive impact went beyond personal statistics. She was effective on both sides of the ball, helping to transition the ball up field while also halting any potential offensive opportunities from the Lions. The second-year Bachelor of Education Elementary student was a positive leader, displaying an exceptional work ethic over the entire game. Along with being a generous teammate with ball distribution, the student-athlete from Red Deer added her own offensive pressure, recording two shots on Lions goalkeeper Janelle Reimer.
