Olds, AB - After two games, the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Soccer team remains undefeated.

The RDP Kings and Olds College Broncos traded goals, playing to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon at Richardson Pioneer Field.

The Kings opened the scoring in the 31st minute. As a member of the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings sent a long pass up field, an Olds College Broncos defender attempted to clear the ball, but inadvertently deflected it past Broncos second-year goalkeeper Parys Ona MacArthur.

After 45 minutes, the visitors held a 1-0 edge.

Fourteen minutes into the second half, the Olds College Broncos, who were sporting their new burgundy, white, and gold uniforms, evened the contest 1-1.

From the left side, first-year midfielder Christopher Gaytan passed the ball in front of the Kings net and teammate Hector Ibarra headed it past Kings goalkeeper Jared St Thomas into the right side of the cage.

St Thomas, a first-year Kinesiology Fitness and Health student, made some solid saves, including one in extra time with a Broncos player in close.

The Kings outshot the Broncos 9-7.

On Sunday, September 26, the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings (1-0-1) will host the Olds College Broncos (1-1-1) at 2 pm in a rematch at the Red Deer Polytechnic Main Field.
