Caronport, SK - Kings fifth-year guard Tyronn King entered Friday's contest against the Briercrest College Clippers as the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) scoring leader.
The Legal Assistant student was a leader once again, knocking down a game high 36 points and helping the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings earn an 88-77 decision.
The visitors played a consistent game, outscoring the home team in three of the four quarters.
The RDP Kings held an 11 point edge at half (47-36).
King and Payton Baltzer contributed 15 points each over 20 minutes.

Riley Seaborn had eight points for the Clippers at the break.
Both teams scored 41 points in the latter half and the Kings held their 11 point margin, picking up the win.
Antonio Benjamin came off the Kings' bench and chipped in with 10 points. Along with his 36 points, King added 12 rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Eduardo Crespo and Cole Wicker added eight points apiece.
The Kings impressively sank 14-of-15 free-throws (93.3%). The Clippers were 75% successful on their attempts.
The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings (5-2) and Briercrest College Clippers (1-8) will meet on Saturday, January 29 at 3 pm in a rematch.
