Boston Pizza RDP Athlete of the Week for February 10, 2025

Nick Woznesensksy (third) made a meaningful impact for the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Curling team at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Championships. He played extremely well, executed many accurate shots and helped the Kings solidify an ACAC silver medal on their home ice.

Red Deer’s Woznesensksy (Bachelor of Education Secondary Years) worked well with his teammates, helping the Kings (3-0) rank first after round robin play. Then the RDP Kings defeated the SAIT Trojans 5-4 to qualify for the gold medal game. In the final, the Trojans shaded the Kings 7-6. It was the RDP Kings’ only setback of the weekend.

Woznesensksy, a talented, fourth-year student-athlete from Red Deer, and the Kings will compete at the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/Curling Canada College Championships. The prestigious event will be held in Lethbridge from February 24-28, 2025.
