Calgary, AB - Entering the postseason, the SAIT Trojans were the best defensive team in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Soccer South Division. On Saturday afternoon, that shutdown mentality was on display against the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens in the south final.
In rainy conditions, SAIT scored a pair of goals in the first half, adding a third one in the latter 45 minutes and stifling the Queens offence. Despite a good effort by the RDP Queens, the Trojans picked up a 3-0 home win and a berth in the ACAC final. The Queens will compete for ACAC bronze.

Frampton added her second in the 66th minute. Goalkeeper Bouvier got her hands on the initial shot, but the wet ball deflected into the net for a 3-0 lead, and victory.
First-year midfielder Sofia Quinteros was named the Queens Player of the Game. The Bachelor of Science Nursing student played well positionally and put forth a strong effort.
With a pair of goals, Frampton received the award for the Trojans.
